Porous Pave XLS is unique because of the proprietary "soft binder". At only 2" thick, Porous Pave XLS can offer a 4' Critical Fall Rating. XLS is similar to XLR because of the all-rubber construction (no stone aggregate), but our urethane soft binder makes it feel like a completely different product.
XLS is ideal for play areas that do not require a Critical Fall Rating higher than 4', but XLS is not limited to play areas. XLS feels great under your feet and can be used in pool surrounds, splash pads and more. Because of the soft binder, XLS may require more maintenance than a product like XLR, but the maintenance is minimal and not more than an annual occurrence.
Porous Pave XLS has been used on pool surrounds across the country since 2006 and has proven to be a great way to improve traction and the appearance of your pool deck for many years to come.
Similar to Porous Pave XL and XLR, Porous Pave XLS can be installed to fit any shape, size or void. It is installed quickly (most pool deck sand patios can be completed in a single day) and once installed, the product cures quickly.
This means that your area will be ready for use the day after our product is installed. With a permeability rate of over 5,800 gallons per hour per square foot, Porous Pave XLS is unlike any other play area surface currently on the market. The slip resistance of XLS will also keep kids, parents and grandparents safer on XLS installations.
